Everwood 2025 – Day Three – Scavenger
A scavenger looks up from its meal as the caravan passes as it passes it by.
I’m choosing to call this animal a bear-cat. It’s loosely based on an Amphicyonidae. Of course, after I read the article linked to this, I realized that everything I thought I knew about the evolution of bears and cats was wrong, and the real Bearcat is actually an extremely cute animal called a Binturong.
So, this creature is completely made up. Imagine something like a cougar, only stockier, with massive jaws. While it prefers carrion, it is something else to avoid in the Everwood.
I’m afraid I rushed this one. The detail on the creature is pretty lacking, though I freely admit that, since I let myself slack off for a couple of months, I have a few more bad pictures to get out of my system before these things get good.
