I don’t have much to say about Ned’s confrontation with Cersei. Other than it was a challenge coming up with a composition with both figures sitting on the ground. Also the realization that despite my giving Cersei medievaal hairstylyes, Mr. Martin frequently describes her with her hair down.

I regret nothing.

The other thing I find interesting about this scene is the contrast between the Red Keep Godswood and the Winterfell Godswood. The Winterfell Godswood is virtually a genius loci. It has an overwhelming presence. The Red Keep’s Godswood is pretty much a nice garden where you can have a nice picnic. This is mainly because the Red Keep’s Godswood is fake. It doesn’t even have a real heart tree.
