Everwood 2026 – Day Twenty-One – Buried

When I first looked at today’s prompts, I automatically assumed I’d be doing something involving a revenant. Perhaps a hand sticking out of the dirt, but the more I thought about it, the more cliché it seemed.

Once again, I was rescued by my squad of goblins, who I still know nothing about, with two of them either digging up or burying something. It could go either way.

However, whatever they are doing, it seems like grim business. So, of course they are doing it in the rain.

This one fought me. I’m happy to say that it turned out all right in the end, but it still feels like one that is on the rough draft pile.
