Mermay 2026 – Day Eighteen – Miami Vibe
Today’s prompt, Miami Vibe, stumped me, mainly because my view of Miami is extremely out of date, flavored by Miami Vice and Dexter. A friend from southern Florida had given me some suggestions in the past, but I wasn’t able to talk with them before I could do this picture.
It finally occurred to me that my mermaids would know what current Miami Vibes would be, so I went with the most base cliches like plastic flamingos and palm trees.
This may go into canon since decorations like this are very much in character for Vivian and June.
