Mermay 2026 – Day Fourteen – Muppet
When I saw today’s prompt, I found myself wondering what to go with. Would it be mermaids as muppets, mermaids using muppets, or a muppet cameo? I went with the third option and chose Kermit as my cameo choice, mainly because he was one of the only muppets who could go underwater. I had one other reason, though. A couple of years ago, in a Lovecraft-themed Christmas story, I had a Deep One stage manager who looked a lot like Kermit.
So, here’s Kermit meeting some mermaids while hanging out at Y’ha-nthlei city limits.
On a side note, as soon as I knew I was going to put Kermit in the scene, I couldn’t help wondering if there were any saltwater amphibians. So I checked and found one.
