Game of Thrones – The Visitors
The picture of the visitors from King’s Landing, including the King and his retinue, was a struggle. I blame myself. I was trying to show the scale going with a slight bird’s eye angle at a distance. This led to a ton of detail and way too many horses.
This was one of those ones where, because I was focusing on all of the little details, I spent most of the time feeling like i was treading water. However, once I finished and was able to look at the whole picture it looked… okay.
The visitors poured through the castle gates in a river of gold and silver and polished steel, three hundred strong, a pride of bannermen and knights, of sworn swords and freeriders. Over their heads a dozen golden banners whipped back and forth in the northern wind, emblazoned with the crowned stag of Baratheon.
