Game of Thrones – Vaes Dothrak
I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to do the Dothraki city of Vaes Dothrak. I was playing around with different angles of Daenerys and her company riding under the horse gate. It didn’t help that it wasn’t clear about how close the Horse Gate is to the city itself. Things became easier when I realized that it didn’t have to be a point of view.
Dany could not have said why the city needed a gate when it had no walls… and no buildings that she could see. Yet there it stood, immense and beautiful, the great horses framing the purple mountains beyond.
