Mermay 2025 – Day Nineteen – Bioluminescent
I was dreading this prompt. It wasn’t that I couldn’t think of an idea of a bioluminescent mermaid; it was the logistics. I have yet to master light effects in watercolor, and I had no idea how I would make it work.
Fortunately, I had an idea for Winnifred using an anglerfish as a book light. Once I had it down to one light source, it became much easier.
It is still far from perfect, but I was pleased with how the lighting turned out.
