Mermay 2025 – Day One Mirror

Mermay, featuring the Mermaids of Herschel Cove, is here again!

I was a little worried about how this would go. After getting my watercolor skills to a height I’d never been before, I slacked off for over six months. I didn’t expect to be very good for a while. Happily, I wasn’t nearly as rusty as I feared, and the first picture of the month looks good to me. (Also, on a side note, I found several new brushes for touching up the scanned image.

So here we are with the first prompt of the challenge mirror, where we have the sisters Winifred and Jennifer fighting over the one in their possession. (Ignoring the big one they have in their cave.)
