Everwood – Day Thirty-One – Grove

Everwood – Day Thirty-One – Grove

In the middle of the grove, there is a door.

While I have lots of directions I want to go with this Everwood concept, I figured I should end it by giving Bonnie and Jules a happy ending. They are technically on loan from Rhapsodies after all.

It is such a relief to be done with this challenge. While I’m happy with the results, it was extremely time-consuming.

My general takeaway from this challenge is it did everything I wanted it to do. I had been worried that I had let myself go after barely touching my brushes since June. I was happy to find out that I wasn’t half as rusty as I thought I was. Not only that, after a month of these hard pushups, I am confident that any image I imagine, I can put on paper. There were only a handful of pictures I thought were complete duds and even those were technically competent.

The concept of the Everwood went nicely. I always find these challenges to be a useful way to brainstorm. During this challenge, I was able to flesh the Everwood in some interesting ways and I now have some interesting directions to take it.

I look forward to seeing where it goes from here.
