Mermay 2023 – Day Fifteen – Horror
The only problem I have with today’s prompt, horror, is there are too many options. This usually is a recipe for creative block.
The best way I had to cut down the options was to make the horror specifically related to the Mermaids. While lots of fantasy regards them as fantasy lovers, lots of folklore has them exploiting this. The horror comes with you leaning into a kiss just as they pull you under.
It’s even worse when they gang up on you.
