A Storm of Swords – Donal Noye

When Jon arrives at Castle Black the first person he sees is Donal Noye working at his smithy.

This ended up being a portrait of Noye. I couldn’t think of a way to place Jon that would not be a distraction.

While I was drawing this, I couldn’t picture how a one-armed blacksmith worked. My best guess is an apprentice holds the iron to the anvil for him, but I don’t recall Mr. Martin ever actually mentioning it.
