A Storm of Swords – Roose

Being the pragmatist that he is, Roose is not amused by Vargo Hoat’s actions. Hoat misses his point entirely.

I really should have zoomed back more on this one. But if I did, I would have had to draw more of the crowd of Freys.

Besides, Mr. Martin is vague about where it takes place. All he says is it’s in Harrenhal’s ward. This was a definition of the word I was not familiar with. When I looked it up, I found that, in this case, it means the outdoor area between the castle’s walls and the keep.

Finally, I needed to make it clear that Roose was tossing Jamie’s hand to Hoat. With all of the background noise, I’m afraid I failed.

Roose Bolton reached down, snapped the cord, and flung the hand at Hoat. “Take this away. The sight of it offends me.”
