Storm of Swords – The Battle of The Bells

Storm of Swords – The Battle of The Bells

The Brotherhood Without Banners arrives in the town of Stoney Sept. Harwin tells Arya how her father’s and King Roberts won the Battle of the Bells there.

I admit I may have taken liberties with this one. To the best of my knowledge, there is only one sept in Stoney Sept, hence the name. But Harwin describes bells all over town. How many bell towers are there?

Besides all that, I always enjoy doing these large-scale pictures, even though the execution is frequently a mess.

Addendum: It just occurred to me that Harwin could have meant hand-held bells.

They battled in the streets and alleys, even on the rooftops, and all the septons rang their bells so the smallfolk would know to lock their doors. Robert came out of hiding to join the fight when the bells began to ring.
