Storm of Swords – Ser Garlan

Storm of Swords – Ser Garlan

Sansa dances with Ser Garlan Tyrell.

This provides a brief respite for Sansa especially since the Tyrell’s have been ghosting her for the entire ceremony. Garlan provides a few words of comfort. He also implies, in the nicest way possible, that his younger brother Loras is not quite the catch Sansa thinks he is. If not due to his sexuality but because Loris is a bit of a meathead.

This one was fun, I took some time to some good visual references of medieval dances, deciding that they are dancing the pavane. In the process, I found a fantastic outfit for Garlan to wear.

“A bride at her wedding should be more than well.” His voice was not unkind. “You seemed close to tears.”
“Tears of joy, ser.”
