A Storm of Swords – Acorns

A Storm of Swords – Acorns

Arya complains about the gown Lady Smallwood gave her which, in her own words, her looks like a giant acorn.

Obviously, the main reason to do this picture was to have devout tomboy Arya dolled up against her will. I got her gown from the wonderful Cyclopedia of Costumes. It’s from the reign of Edward the fourth.  I very much enjoyed making it not right for Arya and having her be very uncomfortable in it.

I was also having fun with her interaction with Gendry to the point where I’m unsure whether it’s Gendry giving Arya a hard time or if it’s the first time after learning she’s a girl, that she’s a cute one at that.
