A Storm of Swords – Arrest

Davos is arrested by the queen’s guard for the attempted murder of Melisandre.

I had fun designing Axell Florent. One thing I’ve been trying to do for these illustrations is if they’re not actually on the field not to dress people in a military manner, wearing appropriate clothes. In the process, I stumbled over the perfect hat for Axell I think fits his personality perfectly. It’s one of those hats (and knows this because I own a few) where you think it makes you look cool and distinguished, but, it makes you look like a complete twit.

On another note, I was so tempted to add a scene with Davos and Edric Storm, but I think I was afraid I’d already done enough pictures in this chapter.

Fortunately, as I was doing this, I realize that Edric had not left the scene) yet.
