Mermay 2022 Day 01 – Workers

It’s that time of the year again, that exercise of masochism and watercolor pushups, Mermay. The first prompt of the month is workers.

I have to say for the last couple of years I don’t really like the prompt lists on most of these sketch challenges. They tend to be repetitive and redundant. The only reason I stick with them is I like seeing what everybody comes up with using the same prompts, and frankly, I’m generally so busy doing other things I don’t come up with any alternatives until it’s too late.

I didn’t like this prompt either. But, after thinking about it for a while, I decided it was the best way to begin Mermay. So here are members of my usual cast, coming to work to do … Mermaid stuff.
