Vimes wakes up after the Dragon attack in Lady Ramkin’s bed with a very amused Nobby looking after him.

Going back to what I was saying about anachronisms earlier, Lady Ramkin’s house is an Edwardian manor existing in a medieval city. The rest of Ankh-Morpork will catch up in about ten books.

On a side note, It took me a remarkable amount of time to find a reference for a cliche “feminine” room.
