I admit I’m guessing that the “bladder” mentioned are bagpipes. However, since a “skirl” is a style of music performed by bagpipes, I think it’s an accurate guess. I don’t know for sure if these musicians are minstrels or a couple of armsmen with a hobby. In the end, it doesn’t matter. I like it when Mr. Martin gives me the opportunity to show the culture of Westeros beyond the violence and the intrigue.
