A Clash of Kings – Fight
For today’s A Clash of Kings illustration, we leave Kings Landing and see how Arya deals with bullies in her fight with Hotpie.
One of the things I found annoying in the television shows is the number of scenes outside of the main locations were just second-growth forests. I realize the limitations of producing a television show, but I’m drawing pictures, and I don’t have that excuse. Because of this, I made a point of making sure that Mr. Martin mentions where everyone is, and in this case, he mentions that they are walking through wheat fields and orchards.
For the most part, this drawing went smoothly, though the format made it difficult to fit Hotpie in the background.
When Hot Pie began to wail, Arya whirled toward Lommy Greenhands, who was sitting on his donkey openmouthed. “You want some sword too?” she yelled, but he didn’t. He raised dyed green hands in front of his face and squealed at her to get away.
