Mermay Day Twenty – Ancestors
“Ancestors” was one of the more frustrating words on the prompts list for me. It took me forever to tear myself away from morbid, badly composed images of mermaids tending gravesites. I finally came up with this series of statues of mer-heroes. I was pleasantly surprised that it turned out to be one of my favorite pieces of the series.
This also makes the first reappearance of this little mermaid since last year.
