Inktober 2019 – Day Eighteen – Misfit

The first thing I thought of for today’s Inktober prompt, misfit (okay… it was probably the fifth thing) was Frankenstein’s Monster. I specifically remembered the scene where he befriends the old blind man and watches the man’s family visits him feeling terribly lonely.

I’d been watching several Frankenstein movies this month for Halloween so this was a great opportunity to do my own take on the creature.

“He raised her and smiled with such kindness and affection that I felt sensations of a peculiar and overpowering nature; they were a mixture of pain and pleasure, such as I had never before experienced, either from hunger or cold, warmth or food; and I withdrew from the window, unable to bear these emotions.”
Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley. “Frankenstein; Or, The Modern Prometheus.”
