Inktober 2020 – Day Nineteen – Dizzy

Today’s prompt, dizzy, stumped me. For the most part, all I could think of were references to Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo…. or drawing something similar with lots of spirals. Finally, I figured drawing someone being dizzy would work.

The only problem was the only thing I could think of for that, in a Halloween theme was someone being spun on a wrack. While I have little patience for artists being psychoanalyzed over their choice of subject matter. Besides I just finished reading Joe Abercrombie’s The First Law Trilogy, so it was hard to find humor in “real” torture.

So I turned it into a game show in Hell. It’s funny how that particular fantasy angle makes it okay, sort of. Though for my choice of punny names of the show, I prefer “Wheel of Mis-Fortune” over than “Wheel of Torture”.

A dizzy damned soul is spun around in Hell's most popular game show, Wheel of Mis-Fortune.
